SABA SABA: the trade show
Brazil advances to the East African discovering new markets and new ways to present their products to markets that are still unknown.
Bilateral trade between Brazil and Tanzania in 2009 showed excellent results, since Brazilian exports reached a record level of 30.4 million, representing a 70% increase over 2008.
The largest such event on the African continent in 2010, received over 30,000 visitors daily, making a total of 330 000 visitors in 11 days. The fair will feature 160,000 square feet of total area, about 1,930 booths, 602 are occupied by national companies and 328 international companies and government representatives.
In 2010 the Brazilian pavilion with 17 companies participated and enjoyed the visit of President Lula and President of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete at the Brazilian Pavilion.
The public shows a great liking and preference for Brazilian products still little known to the Tanzanian population, which has most of its imports coming from Dubai and Far Eastern countries.
