Tong Tong Fair: the trade show
The Tong Tong Festival is the name of the theater program of the Tong Tong Fair in The Hague. It takes place in various themed theaters and a pavilion for exhibitions. The programmers take the blending of Eastern and Western culture as the starting point for a modern and original program. The Indian culture, one of the oldest mixed cultures in the world, is their guideline. Other key concepts are 'tradition' and 'innovation'
The Tong Tong Festival brings artists, authors and scientists of (inter) national fame to The Hague. It also produces its own multidisciplinary productions and mixes music and dance traditions. There are daily lectures, workshops, music and dance performances and theater productions.
The Tong Tong Festival is increasingly spreading out over The Hague and the surrounding area. During the Tong Tong Fair, institutions join in with special programs that are established in collaboration with Stichting Tong Tong.
