Railwaytech Indonesia: the trade show
The Indonesia Government stressed the importance of integrating urban transportation systems with spatial planning. The government wants intermodal connectivity and continuity, both MRT, LRT, Electric Rail, BRT System, then other modes of transportation. These steps will greatly reduce congestion in big cities, likely Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung and surrounding area.
The central government has approved Great Jakarta’s infrastructure projects worth Rp 571 trillion (US$40.12 billion) until 2030. The transport infrastructure development needs including 223 kilometers of MRT tracks (current 16 km), 116 km of LRT lines (current 5,8 km) and a bus rapid transit (BRT) network that covers 2,149 km from 431 km.
In addition to those rail projects in Jakarta, there are over 10 mega rail transport projects are being worked on and will soon be launched in the near future. According National Railway Vision 2030 from Indonesia Ministry of Transport, the Indonesia railway projects will be implemented until 2030 with investment value over USD 88,16 billion. This giant fund would be used to build LRT (Jakarta, Makassar, Medan, Surabaya, Bandung), MRT (fase-2 and fase-3), High Speed Railway (Bandung and Surabaya), 3,258 km railway line in a few strategic areas, increasing the number of trains, and the construction of new stations.

The 4th edition of RailwayTech Indonesia 2020 taking place from March 18 – 20, 2020 at JIExpo, Jakarta – Indonesia, is ready to expand 2x bigger scale.
