The first Avignon International Trade Fair was held in 1974. The fair now takes place eight times a year at Avignon's Parc des Expositions de Château Blanc.
Each fair attracts up to 750 stallholders and thousands of buyers from France and throughout the world. The fair is only five minutes walk from the airport. Alternatively, the new TGV line to the South of France has cut the Paris/Avignon journey time to just 2 hours 40 minutes.
