Firenze Flower Show - Mostra Mercato Piante Rare e Inconsuete: the trade show
In the beautiful Florence returns on 26 and 27 June 2021 the third edition of the Flower Show, a market exhibition dedicated to the best producers and collectors of rare and unusual plants, from all over the national territory.
To frame the event will be one of the most beautiful locations in the historic center of Florence: the enchanting Corsini Garden at the foot of the homonymous historic villa of Porta al Prato that certainly needs no introduction, a place already much loved by Florentines and tourists from all over the world.
About 60 exhibitors will color and give life to this naturalistic spectacle presenting the rarest and most unusual varieties of plants from all over the world, and the most particular handicrafts close to the "green" theme. Also this year with the active participation and collaboration of all local institutions including the Municipality of Florence, the Tuscany Region and numerous Florentine associations and realities.
The fairytale path that visitors can find will in fact pass through all the most particular, unobtainable and quality botanical varieties: you can walk immersed in an exhibition of impressive collectible bonsai , colorful orchids , very special species of succulents, one more unique than the other.
The spectacularity of the event will then continue inside a real citrus museum , with specimens among the rarest and oldest, and a wealth of scents and colors that will certainly not go unnoticed. There will obviously be fruit trees , a vast collection of ornamental grasses , perennials , but also acidophilic plants including camellias, Japanese maples and a colorful and very particular range of Australian and South American flora.
The public will then be amazed by the poetic aquatic plants , the very rare and untraceable tillandsias , the vast collection of ancient and modern roses, the wonderful irises and the extravagant kokedama.
The public will also be involved in a path that is always intertwined with the botanical one: many exhibitors will bring culinary first fruits such as chilli in all its forms, many types of dried fruit, and spices. There are also numerous niche artisans from all over Italy, each with its own particularity: from ecoprinting, to bamboo scarves, from raku ceramics to floral jewelry, from gardening equipment to wicker products.
Like every edition, a food and wine corner will be set up within the event, where the public will be able to stop and enjoy delicious culinary delights throughout the day.
For the public who will participate in Florence Flower Show, then, it will be impossible to get bored thanks to the wide range of free collateral activities that will take place for all two days: the experts in the sector will focus on quality gardening and consequently all their knowledge in the horticultural field. An opportunity both for the most experienced and passionate in the sector, and for newbies who have not yet developed the green thumb. Even for the little ones there is something for everyone: from gardening activities to appointments on the world of animals. In particular, in collaboration with the company Hera Comm , the main event on Sunday afternoon will be dedicated to them, in which they can immerse themselves completely in the world of etymology and more specifically of bees and their honey.
