Each meeting takes place in an auditorium that can sit 320 people and is about one hour and a half long. The discussion is enhanced by a multimedia installation and if necessary simultaneously translated into French. Neither solemn statements nor debates, the Meetings constitute a precious moment of dialogue, both fascinating and allowing constant exchanges with the attendance. They may also take the shape of a discussion between authors from various disciplines or from different geographical and cultural backgrounds. In any case, the aim is to “stick” to the creation process, get every little detail and learn how the artist senses it. Such an orientation has come to gather a regular, attentive and motivated public. Most of the Festival International Meetings have a full house ; they are now recognized as a reference event across the world. Remember some of the prestigious authors that appeared on the International Meetings set these past years : Katsuhiro Otomo, Spiegelman, Mike Mignola, Enki Bilal, Yoshihiro Tatsumi, David Lloyd, Lorenzo Mattotti, Chris Claremont...
