Nanotechnology is a strategic sector with considerable potential to create value in the coming years. Is a priority area for R & D in developed countries, with a big boost and projection in numerous fields. Despite the large number of nanotechnology products already developed, there is still a great expectation by many that are yet to come. All these applications need, obviously, appropriate analytical methodologies for accurate characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructures. Furthermore, Analytical Chemistry also benefits from the use of these nanomaterials as tools for the development or improved analytical methods with application in agricultural food fields, environmental, pharmaceutical, biomedical, and so on.
