VRLA, a variety of immersive experiences in one unique exhibition!

If you want to experience the latest in virtual reality, don't miss the chance of attending in August (5-6) the VRLA Summer Expo, and discover the novelties of the leading brands for immersive technology. And if you still have some doubt about why attending or not, don't miss our interview with the organizers. We are sure you won't resist the temptation...!

VRLA Summer Expo brings us the latest in virtual reality and immersive technology, what novelties will we see in August's edition? What are the coming trends?

VRLA provides a variety of immersive experiences you can’t find at home. From motion simulators to VR concerts, to video domes, there will be over 100 exhibitors at the upcoming expo. VRLA is a platform for startups and developers to debut new content directly to consumers. As we’ve grown to become the premiere VR expo, some of the trends we’ve seen include a boom in walk-around VR thanks to the HTC Vive, higher quality demos, and more immersive hardware like motion platforms.

What do you think that makes the Show stands out from other similar events?

VRLA is the largest event of its kind and the only show to focus on both consumers and developers. Our passes are much less expensive than comparable events, which leads to an audience that is more representative of the people actually buying VR devices. Because we’re in LA, we’re also a major hub for content creators and 360 video companies.

What is the exhibitor's profile?

The majority of our exhibitors produce VR games and 360 video content, but we also feature companies involved in the architecture, education, and medical sectors. VRLA is happy to host everyone from the small one-man team to the largest tech companies in the world like HTC, Google, Dolby, AMD, Skullcandy, and GoPro.

Can you give some tips for those exhibiting in Los Angeles for the first time?

Union labour is very expensive, so if you can carry your equipment in yourself, you will save a lot of money!

Can anyone visit the show, or you have to be a professional?

Anyone can attend, but Friday, August 5th is intended for professionals in the immersive technology industry.

You also are in charge of VRLA School, a monthly series of educational workshops, speaker sessions, etc. What are the steps to participate in those sessions?

People can purchase a pass to VRLA School on our website or through Eventbrite when we announce new workshops.

Give us at least three reasons to don't miss VRLA School

We bring in top companies in VR to teach the workshops at VRLA School, so you’re learning directly from the people making important hardware and software. It’s also a great networking opportunity to meet like-minded people curious about VR. Lastly, we bring in really good food!

Finally, can you give us some participation results from the last edition?

We had about 3000 attendees and 70 exhibitors.
