Saudi Health Beauty will be held in Jeddah by the end of the year to get us closer latest trends in the beauty industry

Saudi Health Beauty is the unique meeting point for Beauty and Wellness industry professional in the region. The SHB 2017 will be held in Jeddah from December 3-5 and we've been talking with the organisers to learn more about the show and all the novelties we will find on the show floor.

What do you think that made Jeddah stands out from other potentials cities in Arabia Saudi?

Saudi Health & Beauty 2017 will be held for the 4th time in Jeddah but it will also have another version in Riyadh for the first time this year. Jeddah is a city known for tourism, shopping centres and entertainment in Saudi Arabia. It is also one of the most important cities when it comes to business. Business owners and Saudi investors would come from all over the country to attend the exhibition in Jeddah.

Riyadh, on the other hand, is the heading point for business, after the astounding success of SHB 2016 and the demands of exhibitors and visitors to bring the show to Riyadh, Sunaidi Expo & Conferences has decided to make another version of the show in Riyadh.

Middle Eastern market growth for cosmetics is undeniable. In which ways do you think this event represents a positive impact on the market?

It is most definite that the beauty market is growing vastly in MENA region, especially in Saudi Arabia which accounts for 41.6% of the MENA beauty market with consumers having spent $ 4.8 billion on beauty products.

Natural and organic cosmetics Middle Eastern market poses a positive growth as well. Does this market have a place in your show?

Natural and Organic Cosmetics is the trend in all beauty markets right now and surely we have a section for all organic products under the name Organic Zone in our exhibitions (both Jeddah and Riyadh). Organic Zone was first featured in SHB 2016 and it was a great hit, all exhibitors in Organic Zone left our exhibition satisfied having accomplished their goals.

What is the exhibitors’ profile? Why would you encourage them to exhibit?

Saudi Health & Beauty hence the name focuses not only on bringing beauty products for women to Saudi Arabia, we also care about bringing in products that care for women’s well-being as well.

Same as last year we will have many sectors under Beauty such as; Professional Cosmetics and Equipment, Personal Cosmetics for Retailing and Distribution, Fragrance Products, Hair & Nail Products and Cosmetic Surgery centers, as for health and wellbeing sectors; Professional Equipment and Consultancies for Spa, Nutrition & Organic Food, Vitamins & Supplements, Alternative health therapies, Wellness & Spa Centers, Fitness Clubs, Relaxation products and Weight loss products, and Organic Zone; Organic beauty products, Organic Skincare Products, Organic hair Products, Organic Supplements and Organic Spa Treatments.

Saudi Health & Beauty has been mainly focusing on products for women and their care but in SHB 2017 we will have Men’s cosmetics and Kids’ cosmetics sectors in both Beauty Zone and Organic.

What is the visitors’ profile? Why should they visit the Show?

Saudi Health & Beauty is the only trade fair for health and beauty sectors in Saudi Arabia and thus, our visitors include Saudi investors, retail stores, distributors, beauty salons, spa & wellness centers, aesthetic clinics and cosmetic surgery centers, hospitals, hotels, hyper and supermarkets, med-spa professionals, pharmacies, dietary centers, make-up artists, hairstylists and top beauty celebrities. SHB 2016 welcomed 1,788 trade visitor and 4,269 unique visitors.

This upcoming edition features new events and activities. Which novelties will we find this year?

We try to come up with new activities every year, in 2016 we had Nazih’s (Beauty Me Zone Sponsor) hair show, it attracted over 777 hairstylists and salon owners, Nazih brought in hair professionals from international companies to demonstrate new hair techniques and styles.

We also had the first hairstyle competition of its kind in Saudi Arabia that drew a lot of attention to the show. Those features will be found again in SHB 2017 and more.
You are carrying out a free initiative for professional training called Al Sewaidi Initiative Training Program.

Can you give us some participation results from the last edition?

Based on our post-show survey 95% of Exhibitors were pleased with visitors’ quality and have fulfilled their business objectives.
Our exhibitors’ words of satisfaction are more rewarding than the numbers:

“We’ve been exhibiting for three years, from the very beginning. This year is the best year. It is as if it is another exhibition altogether, from how amazing and successful it is. We are exhibiting with three of our companies in the group – Eric Zemmour Salon, Le Medi Spa and Al Hoda Home Health Care Center. The organization, marketing, visitors and how everything is coordinated in a very good way. The number of visitors is even more than every year. They are a lot and even the quality is really good. Of course, I am coming back next year. Definitely.”
