JABAL: the trade show
May 2013 Edition:
JABAL was created in 1998 by FRANSABANK s an initiative aiming at promoting new Lebanese contemporary Art such as painting,sculpture, photography, video, installation and design.
From 1998 to 2005, JABAL exhibitions launched more than 300 young artists from different Lebaneseregions, out of whom more than fifty are today a pride to the nation.
In 2013, JABAL will appear again strongly on the Lebanese scenery and is going to take placefrom the 8th till 12th of May, 2013 in Le Gray Hotel! More than thirty artists will be selected for thisnew edition by JABAL‘s artistic committee.
Through JABAL, Fransabank strives to reflect the diversity and vitality of the emerging contemporarycreativity, while giving the chance to those artists to exhibit their work in a professionalenvironment. JABAL is a one of a kind platform renowned for its support and dissemination of theLebanese contemporary art.
In 2013, JABAL confirms, once again, its role as a talents’ discoverer and as a supporter to newartists; while endeavoring to put in place a partnership on the national and international levels inorder to develop networks and artistic exchanges.
