International Conference of Endocrinology and Diabetes (ICED): the trade show
I welcome you to the website dedicated to the 5th International Conference of Endocrinology and Diabetes (5th ICED). The 5th ICED is a successor of the 1st to the 4th International Conferences in Endocrinology and Diabetes successfully organized by the Saudi Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism yearly, under the auspices of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The previous conferences were attended by medical and paramedical professionals from the different clinics, hospitals and medical teaching institutions all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Region.
The Saudi Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism was founded in 29 August 2009, a scientific health society in the field of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism for both adults and children. The SSEM has the vision of promoting the delivery of quality health care in providing education and training services to the healthcare providers in this field. The increase of the incidence of diabetes, and endocrine diseases, served as Society’s motive in organizing the 1st up to the 4th ICED.
Prior to this conference, 3 pre-conference workshops will be organized. The workshops would be the Neck Ultrasonography & Ultrasound-Guided FNA Workshop, Insulin Pump Therapy Workshop and Bone Mineral Density Measurement in Osteoporosis Management. These are specialized workshops to meet the needs of the current generation, particularly fellows of endocrinology and diabetes.
